STAYING AT THE ODR FORUM
Harvard will be beautiful in June, but that also means prices for hotels will be sky high. As all hotels are quick to point out, the FIFA World Cup qualifying matches will be happening in the Boston area during the time of the conference, so that has pushed already high Boston hotel prices up even higher than they would normally be.
However, we’ve done some research to find a range of options that should fit into any budget.
Some possibilities are listed below (see their relative location on the map to the right, which will expand in a lightbox if you click it)
- Lesley University Dorms ($)
- Atlas Hotel ($$$$)
- Doubletree by Hilton ($$$)
- Charles Hotel ($$$$$)
- Harvard Square Hotel ($$)
We also encourage you to explore — there are many hotels in Boston and Cambridge, as well as airbnb and vrbo options in other parts of town. Harvard Square is easily accessible on the Red Line of the Boston T, so you should feel free to stay wherever you like.
We have arranged to get a block of rooms at Lesley University, a beautiful little campus just up the road from Harvard Square, next to Harvard Law School. We’ll be staying in the dorms at Lesley (as the students will have gone home by then) so it’ll be less formal, but definitely the cheapest option (about $175 a night) in the area. You can sign up here to reserve your bed (must be reserved before June 1, 2026) and you can check in at Lesley University’s security office when you arrive — they’ll give you keys and directions. A group will meet up to walk over to the conference location on the morning of June 11th.

The new Atlas Hotel is right next door the Rubenstein Treehouse conference center where the ODR Forum is being held, so just a two minute walk. Like the conference center, it is very new (opening January 2026) and it looks to be quite luxe. Unfortunately prices for our dates are already over $500 a night (if you mention the ODR forum they have some rooms set aside at $400 a night) but probably worth it if it’s in your budget.

The Doubletree Hotel by Hilton is reasonably close to the Rubenstein Treehouse conference center (10 min walk) though the walk to the hotel is along a fairly busy road that runs along the Charles River. It’s an older hotel but it’s been fixed up quite nicely, and it has a jazz club and a rooftop deck. You won’t have the energy of nearby Harvard Square, but if you have a car this might be the most convenient option getting in and out of Harvard Square (right onto the highway).

The Charles Hotel is across the Charles river from the Rubenstein Treehouse conference center, not too long a walk from the conference (about 20 minutes) and it’s a very nice place to stay right in Harvard Square. Great restaurants and a lovely view of the river. However, it can also be expensive.
$$$$$
The Harvard Square Hotel is across the street from the Charles Hotel (so again about a 20 minute walk) and while it’s not as fancy as the Charles, it’s still a very clean and perfectly serviceable hotel right in the heart of Harvard Square. And the prices are much more reasonable than the Charles or the Atlas.
